You won't believe it. Sumo, in Jakarta, Indonesia? Yes, we brought the best rikishi to Indonesia! Err, not me, I mean, the organizer. I'm just a volunteer.
One day, my friend ask me if I want to join her be a volunteer for Sumo Tournament. She said her friend searching for volunteers who can speak Japanese. I said yes, this is a perfect chance to practice my Japanese skill.
The results? In the end, I speak three languages. English, Indonesian, and Japanese. I'm handling the seats and escort the audience into their seat. And yes, I did a very very very embarassing japanese conversation. I want to say "please go straight", instead of "massugu itte kudasai (真っ直ぐ行って下さい)" I said "向こうの方です". Oh my god, that was so embarrassing (O/////O)

Sponsor panel. Lmao |
I've been so curious about the sponsor panel, where the rikishi took photos. So I and my friend sneak in after the event end, and took photos. I wanted to took photos with the rikishi tho, but the other staff said they went straight to their hotel.
I already feel sad BUT BUT BUT when I walk to the TransJakarta shelter, I come across with their bus ! I waved my hand, and they waved back to me. I'm pretty sure they were tired, but they still waved back to other people who waved to them. So happy !
Thanks for the experience !
